When you get your WHY?
Cast out the question and when it comes back answered… You’ll have the solution to your problem. More often than I can count, growing up an Amway kid, I heard Zig Ziglar speak on the topic of helping others to achieve their goals. Rich De Vos gave a lecture called “Finding Your Why?” and he would end it with “When you get your Why? together, the How? will be there.” When you get your WHY? When you KNOW why? Your How? will be there. That reality doesn’t always come when you’re looking for it, or even when you begin to … continue reading…
Global Warming – HOT Markets in Today’s Economy
When Tom called two weeks before Christmas and asked if he could enter a marketing opportunity and make a profit by the new year, I was skeptical. In fact, I was downright negative about his ability to be up and running by the new year, let alone making a profit. Really? A profit? What’s the market? Shoes. Shoes? Yeah, shoes. Any special kind of shoes? No, just shoes. What’s your twist? You know, shoes that fit feet. Just shoes. Just regular shoes. Nothing spectacular, no gimmick, nothing new or weird? Just shoes? Yeah. We’re really talking about shoes worn by … continue reading…
Be Dynamic in 2013 – Marketing Genius!
Cleve Tidwell, good friend and business associate often leaves business tips worthy of replication. In a recent edition of Tidwell Notes he left these remarks: Tidwell Notes – Business Tip – Will your business grow in 2013 and are you sure? Moving your business and especially revenue to higher levels requires several important steps for a CEO of any size business. One thing for sure. If you are not growing, you are most likely going backwards. Staying even in business is where people are fooled until it’s too late. If you are not growing in your profession, in your business … continue reading…
Small Business Opportunities
Through all the years I’ve been in business myself, I’ve known many businesses to start and fail. More often than not, the failure of a business is not the end of the business or even the closing doors, but rather the shifting of a non-profitable business to a more profitable option. The best businesses, the biggest businesses, started out different than they ended up being, because the original intent of the business didn’t work. Starbucks Yogurt? Anyone? Starbucks didn’t start out to sell coffee, and didn’t begin business as a place to hang out after class, or while you did … continue reading…

Happy Independence Day!
Way back there when our forefathers started working on the Bill of Rights, the Constitution and the foundational documents of our nation, they had one goal in mind. That goal was to put into service a formula for living and working that would work for as long as it was allowed to exist. What is Freedom? As a nation we celebrate freedom, liberty and the pursuit of happiness on July 4th. But freedom is so much more. What is freedom to you? This is a little different than the Independence Day kind of freedom to a whole nation of citizens, … continue reading…
Benefits of Benevolence…
Breast cancer is a prime example of opportunities to be benevolent. About once a year, I plaster a pink ribbon across the top of my website and tell the world that 25% of everything I sell that month goes to the Breast Cancer Foundation (or other similar foundation for breast cancer research for the cure) and voluntarily donate to the cure. My reasoning is two fold. It makes me feel good to give to cancer research and hopefully be part of finding the cure for this nasty disease that stole my mother away from me, far too early. I just … continue reading…
