I’m pretty sure you think I’m joking here, but I’m not. This is the BEST entrepreneur blog – EVER. And I’ll show you why, real quickly here.
When I announce it as what it is…
The Best Entrepreneur Blog becomes a searchable term, and when I include those words in my title, in my blog post, I get ASTOUNDING results in the search engines, because they like searchable phrases that have meaning, and get results. So, unless there are ten other blog posts that claim to be the Best Entrepreneur Blog – EVER in the search engines, mine will come up in the top searches. Particularly this blog post.
The BEST Entrepreneur Blog – EVER.
But, really… What makes this one the best ever?
When you really get down to the reality of what makes something the best ever, it’s all about visibility, searchability, and locatability. If I make my blog post visible, create searchable phrases, and tag specific items within the blog post for the search engines, it appears at the top of the search engines really fast. In many cases, within a few hours.
Am I going to share all of that… Probably not all of it, but I will give you the basis, because it’s such an easy thing to do. Select a longtail keyword phrase, and use it throughout your blog post. For me, writing out the BEST entrepreneur blog ever on the blog post title was easy. I know where this will end up, and I know who is watching my posts…. My market is really clearly defined, and there’s a huge audience for my genre.
Many people own their own businesses and know that if they follow my lead they’ll gain ground on the search engines. Those are the people I’m talking to. They are the ones who leave valid comments on my blog posts and read the responses.
They’re also the ones who count it as important to follow directions and do what I tell them to do with their own blogs.
These bloggers literally make money on their blogs, by following my lead and doing what I tell them to do.
The rest will continue down that long road of wanting to make some money from their blog, but not following directions, and never quite learning how to actually DO what needs to be done.
Which one are you?
About a year ago, a good friend mentioned that she always chose a word, each year she would choose one word to be her word for the year. I’d always done the resolutions thing, failing badly by the end of January, but when she said she chose a word… I thought that sounded better. It sounded more doable.
So, I chose a word.
After much prayer and deliberation, I felt like one word said everything I needed to hear and accomplish for the year. It wasn’t particularly a word I lacked in my life, or in my vocabulary, but it was a word that would CHANGE THE WORLD given the opportunity.
Confidence in myself means I write the BEST Entrepreneur Blog – EVER. And I can say that, because I know it’s true. I have confidence in my ability to carry through on what I’ve said.
The impact that one word has had on my life this past year, will go down in history as a HUGE shift in the way life is lived. In fact, it changed my life. Literally, this one word has shifted my life from one of achieving what “I could achieve” to achieving “WHAT I WANT TO ACHIEVE.”
“One of the biggest myths in business is that you have to do it like someone else is doing it.”
So, today, I get a message from Marnie McPherson, and the gist of that message is above. When we fall for the myth that we have to do it like everyone else did it, we miss the reality that we aren’t like everyone else. Confidence gives us the ability to do what we want to do, our own way. That doesn’t mean we ignore God’s direction, but rather it does mean we confidently, boldly, follow God’s lead.
Let me share a short story with you…
Some of you already know that I recently purchased a small business in a neighboring community and the owner of that business had a specific way of doing business, making sales, and gaining the trust of her customers. She’s a bubbling over, outgoing person with a lot of natural charisma, and she’s cute as a button. If you know me, you’ll probably agree that I’m NOT that person. I’ve got a different personality, and although I can be fun and bubbly, I’m not necessarily charismatic, and it’s literally been years since anyone called me “cute.”
In person, I’ve been told I’m even a bit intimidating, not that anyone should be intimidated by me… But I sometimes come across that way, because I’m more serious, and not as outgoing. So, her way of meeting and developing relationships isn’t really working for me.
Not only did I have two consultations to complete today, but I had a list of people I wanted to call to share the opportunity of advertising in our new magazine. With absolutely nothing to show for this morning’s outing into the public eye, I wasn’t really counting on anything this afternoon. But I sold four ads, a complete page and a half. By six this evening, I was running on high gear, making connections, and designing new ad layouts, and creating a full on plan for marketing to the list left over tomorrow.
I was on a roll.
While my predecessor can make a friendly meeting in their front office sound like a party, my superpower is more along the lines of bringing phone lines to life and energizing the birds on the powerlines. I rock phone sales!
How you sell your products isn’t as important…
…as it is that you SELL your products and services.
The key to marketing your business successfully is finding what works for you, and duplicating that process, over and over again.
When you create the BEST Entrepreneur Blog on the Internet, your customers will find you, ask you how you did it… And they may even try to duplicate your style.
Hopefully, before they’ve infringed on your copyright, they will find their own style. If these are your clients, give them a simple tip…
Find your own voice and use it. Then, and only then, can you say that you are the BEST blogger in your niche, and mean it. When you’ve created your own style, your own voice, and your own niche, your audience will find you – but you have to give them a reason.
Be the BEST blogger!
