You’re Never TOO Old for Mommy Momments
A few days ago, I mentioned to my daughter that she should be writing her tales of parenting woes into a blog and making some profit from those “funniest moments in her life” while they were fresh in her mind. She took me up on it and Pages of Parenthood was born.
Always a fan of books, Brenna was bound to write something… Her dream job has always been in Criminal Justice and she’s absolutely fanatical about investigations. A good mystery can keep her tuned in for hours of page turning fascination. But, once in retail, I knew she’d be a magnetic saleswoman, she’d been able to sell snow to Eskimos since she saw the first six pointed flake. So, what happens to a CJ Major who starts selling technical gadgets in college?
She has the most wonderful magnificent baby girl and becomes Super Mom, the author of parenthood essays that will keep you rolling for hours. When every phone call home begins with the words, “Mom, you won’t believe what happened today…” or “Mom, you’ll NEVER believe what Elizabeth said, now…” you just know, somewhere inside those giggles is a writer trying to get out.
Brenna, Sweetheart, when I phoned home this morning, I said, “Mom, you won’t believe what Brenna did today…” and I told your Gramma all about your blog. I’m so proud of you!!! What a magnificent mommy you are! And I really do know exactly how you feel when you’re bubbling over with pride and you’ve got to tell someone what a great baby girl you have… Write those stories down, but hey… don’t forget to call!
For my readers who want to know what magnificent thing Elizabeth is up to today… Go checkout Pages of Parenthood and you’ll know what I’m talking about.
(Brenna, you’ve gotta share that Lemon and Banana Pancake Recipe!!!)
