Twitter Fectations & Oddities – Join me?

Posted by: admin on Friday, September 11th, 2009

Okay,  there are probably still those who don’t know what Twitter is all about, and you probably don’t really care, but there are stories that come along at times that warrant a little education.

Twitter in all it’s glory is 140 characters (letters, numbers, spaces and punctuations) that gives the reader a glimpse into your life, business, working world or imagination… Not to mention, dinner, sleep period or sex life (for those unscrupulous enough to share the orgasm – bleh).  So, on any given day if you’re not a twitter getter, you may be missing a magnanimous moment in someone’s life – after all, there are those who only get one opportunity to share what they had for dinner that didn’t come up.

Regurgitating 140 characters into a small white box isn’t difficult if you’ve got nothing of importance to say. But for those of us who make our living on the web, 140 characters doesn’t quite make it most of the time… We need more space.  Marketers learned to make the most of this magnificent Inet Tool in the early days using Net Talk, a language perverted enough to make sense to those who live in CyberTime.

Then, you come to the other side… Those novices who attract attention by glamorizing the process and adding pictorial exploitations to their website calling attention to their Twits (I mean Tweets) with graphic illustrations, such as these by Morgan Ritchie of British Actor Stephen Fry, whose notorious dip into Twitter included a 100 day skirmish of twits and tweets.

Dare I say… Join me in Tweetland for some twitter about the latest glitter and glam in my life. I promise not to share horror stories of my nights on the town! (The pictures are all you’ll EVER need.)
