Market Share – Pick Up the Pace for Brighter Economic Prospects
Advertizing is Muscle! Yay! Of course it is muscle, but what’s the fat people are always cutting when they talk about their budget?
The past few weeks have been a real learning experience on the local level. I’m not really into marketing in my hometown. I’ve found it doesn’t really happen when I do. I get bogged down explaining to “friends” what I do online, and why blogging isn’t a scam, because they don’t understand. They like the results my blogging brings them, increased revenue from online sales, etc. But… They don’t understand the potential marketing profits, because they don’t do it. By the time they get around to buying an ad, I’ve worn out my time schedule for marketing “Explaining” and I have to go home. That’s the fat.
No, I’m not scamming the world by blogging activities, interests and economic marketing packages that work ONLINE and OFFLINE. I’m ADVERTIZING. Picking up marketing options makes the advertizing scene more productive because I can market to people who understand the value of internet ads.
If you’re stuck in the rut of local economics, you can increase your market share by moving your business into the World Wide Market – INTERNET. If your business effectively uses the Internet, you’ll be visible on search engines and a viable location for marketing other industries. Selling local ads then becomes feasible for the buyer. Page rank and traffic levels determines some of the pricing. Target audience determines the rest.
Can you project targeted audience? Of course you can, using keywords and marketing techniques that don’t work in the real world (drive by hits don’t usually happen because you used specific words in your business), the internet can literally drive road traffic to your business. Online, the average person selects “www.google.com” and searches their hometown and the service they’re seeking. If you’re providing links to that service in your hometown, they’ll find you.
For instance: Go to Google and search “lamar co piano lessons” and look down the list. The third link brings up: http://lamarco.us/blog – where there’s a link to a lady who offers piano lessons in Lamar, Colorado. A search for “lamar co handmades” brings up the same link, because on that site, there are Internet based ads for that item.
Type in “lamar co tourists” and you’ll get the same link on the second line.
The point is, blogging online brings attention to local business by driving traffic to websites AND the local business. If you’re looking for a way to increase your economic prospects, consider posting an ad or advertizing with a local blogger. The pay off is incredible!!! Contact a local blogger and ask if you can advertize on their blog. Usually it’s cheaper than a newspaper advertizement and better promoted. Bloggers like to promote by talking up their advertizers. They know how to drive traffic and market share.
If you’re currently advertizing with radio or newspaper – consider adding a few extra dollars to your budget for some keyword marketing online.
