Marketing Options – Beating the SEO Horse v. PPC
Pay per click offers paid traffic, specifically targeted traffic to your website, but you can get the same traffic by optimizing your search engine crawlers with keywords in your conversations. Articles filled to the brim with active keywords often make more sense than paying for clicks… But many people don’t know how to use them.
If you’re an Internet marketer and you’ve been using PPC, consider the difference if people actually found your website using natural search methods and didn’t rely on pay per click methods to find you. What if you didn’t have to pay for traffic to drive readers to your sales pages?
Maybe you could donate more to charity?
Social networking offers incredible opportunities to increase your search engine traffic using natural means of promoting your business and SEO that effectively increases your visitor ratios. By bringing in the numbers, increasing links to your website, and getting the name out there using other various means, including interactive link exchanges with your social network, you’ll be able to drive massive numbers of people to your website without the added cost of PPC. Is the traffic as targeted?
You tell me.
When you do a google search for your keywords, do you go to a site that doesn’t use your keywords? Not usually. More often, you go to the site that comes up near the top of the first or second page on google (and probably not the pay per click page. You may click off the page on a pay per click google ad. Or you may (more likely) follow the interactive links on the page, referencing other like or similar page types referred by the author of the page. Quite often a PPC Google Slap will create a bad experience for you and your customers or readers if you’re using pay per click to drive readers to a google ad page. But if you’re using common, ready to use search engine optimization without the pay per click ads, references on your page offer readers better choices and those who do click out on a google ad are truly interested in what’s on the ad page.
Benefits are good for both the reader and google. Google doesn’t pay you for false marketing to a non-targeted market. Their PPC ads on your page become interactive tools for readers who are truly interested in the topic at hand. The value becomes measurable.
When you’re focused on marketing tools your readers can use on your website to either make money on their own websites or drive traffic for other purposes, SEO offers the most completely attractive and natural market for your niche.
I often actively recommend products that my readers can use to build their own business stronger, by offering referral references to products I’ve used myself to create a high-cash-flow opportunity filled niche. The results are better traffic flow, more equitable link operation, and greater resources for my readers who wish to make money online.
