Grateful Wrap-Ups Refocus Your Purpose
Recently a friend mentioned the coming of age that arrives when you turn fifty. I tried not to apply that concept to my life, and kept trying for a little bit, then I realized it’s not a bad thought…
I’m not sure this means I’m interested in admitting I’m an adult yet, but I’ll admit, I’m seriously considering my options. Given that premise, I thought I might seriously consider the contemplation of not only coming of age, but my purpose in life.
First and foremost, my purpose in life is to spoil the daylights out of my granddaughter (can’t stop doing that) and the two new grandbabies that are coming soon. So, now that my primary life goal is in hand, the next one…
Making this world safe for my grandbabies and bringing them a solid, steadfast foundation of knowledge and security comes next. The only way I know to give them security is to make sure they know that Christ is the center, the foundation and the ultimate goal of life. My children know it and have a solid, long standing faith in Christ, so this should be an easy goal.
Next — preserving the freedom of religious belief in our country and bringing home the reality of freedom.
I’m grateful for the opportunity to do this. We have the privilege of maintaining the freedom of speech and our ability to speak out when things are wrong here in the United States.
