Comes in a moment when the hurt runs deep.
I find there are always people reaching out, even in the darkest hours, I always have friends. Sometimes, those friends are different than I expect. You know, the friend you’ve known for so long that challenges you to be better, isn’t always the one you need.
Yet still, I was asked to give, even more.
Then, this evening, as I was visiting with a friend, she offered a comment that encouraged me and filled up my empty reserves. Not only filled them up, but reminded me that it’s okay to sometimes feel so empty that you need refilled. It’s okay to ask for assistance when you need some ‘refilling’ and to accept it from others.
We often give so much, we need to accept that refilling. Thank you, Lord for placing warm and loving friends in my life to lift me up when I need to be lifted up and refilled.
