Isn’t it funny how God puts little reminders in our lives, to let us know that it’s okay to be exactly where we are right now. He loves us ‘as we are’!
One of those aha moments happened a few minutes ago as I was looking up a friend’s book online.
I found a book that I’m *in* by virtue of writing a blip about ‘what gets me through life’ and responding to a friend who was putting a book together. She was excited about the prospects of adding women to her book, and I was excited about getting to be part of the book.
What are your insider secrets?
Could you be featured in the next edition?
When you get to be 56, you realize that everyone past conception is remarkable in one way or other, even the woman who lives next door and grumbles about every single aspect of her life. The reality is that we’re all created in God’s image, and for that reason alone, we’re remarkable.
But what lessons have you learned about life that you might want to share with those who are ‘coming up on the age’?
As amazing as it may sound right now, and this isn’t what I wrote in the book, the lesson I’ve had the hardest time learning, and the one that means the most to me, is that God loves me where I am. I don’t have to be anything special for God to love me, to give me from his abundance the biggest and best that is available. I don’t have to do anything at all for God to bless me. And yet, when God in heaven is blessing you with all the wonders of who He is, you just want to do more, be more, and give more to others.
I want to be the best person I can be, and give to others. I want to make a difference.
What about you?
Please share your secret below…
I’d like to read it, and who knows, maybe we’ll think about doing another book soon to share all the incredible women who are part of my life.
Special thanks to Jessica Peterson who invited me to participate in her book!
