So you’re working on that list thingie…
How many on your list are buyers? How many are just looking for freebies? How many are there just because they’re your friends – buddies and want to see what you have to say?
But… What can you do to increase the number of buying customers on your list?
I got a message from someone yesterday asking me about increasing the numbers, and making sure the majority of people on my list were buying my services, or products. So, I thought answering that question in a blog post might help more than just that one client.
If your list is made up of buying clients and customers, the chances are pretty good that most of your emails are opened, and many of those who open the emails either share them (please do feel free to share the messages), or click on the links and visit the site, or – a frequent benefit to me and them – they buy a product referenced in the blog post or on the link. So, how does that happen?
The obvious answer to that is to grab buying customers for your list – priority – first dibs. That way, they’ve already bought something from you, and you’ve got their trust, their business, and captivated their interest… But really, if your list is just made up of customers who purchased something and don’t continue purchasing from you, you’ll soon have a dead list. Maybe not a horrible thing, but will they keep opening up the emails? Maybe, maybe not.
The more obvious choices for bringing in buyer leads is marketing affiliate platform products, so your sellers bring in more buying clients from their lists. These come in on referral, they’re buying from you already, and they trust you because you came highly recommended. Easy list builder there… If you work with your sellers.
YouTube Videos offer a great way for buyers to see your face, watch you talk, and link to your site after hearing what you have to say. Most people relate well to videos. And you prove yourself real. What could be easier. All your best shines through – plus all your faults… Few of us can really hide behind the green screen forever, and the real you is what people really want to see. Answer questions on youtube! Easy peasy, and people will love your solutions.
Most people seek out product reviews. If your product is LIKE other online available products, why not write some great reviews. Be honest. Give a great review, and post your reviews where people will find them in a product search. (Amazon is a great place to review products.)
Take your well-branded id to the forum where people seek out more information on your topic. Of course, there maybe several forums in your topic. Find the one with the best fit for your clients and hang out once a week or so, the bring them home with a recommended read for MORE INFORMATION. If you’re good at providing solution based content, you’ll be able to say, “Hey, I wrote a great article with several solutions on that topic a while back – right here.” And post the link.
People who seek more advanced solution based content are more likely to be online buyers.
Articles, interviews, and youtube videos offer higher-quality leads who tend to buy more product. Don’t lose that market. Be sure to grab your fair share with high-quality content!
Another secret to grabbing clients from search engines — beginners don’t get the same ‘page rank results’ as those businesses who have ‘been around a while’. I know this from personal experience. Even though I’ve been online for many years, my sites were hit by a trojan hacker that ate the content and destroyed my sites, so I had to rebuild from SCRATCH in January. As horrible as that may seem, and even though I lost a lot of content, I was able to rethink my brand and in a lot of ways rebuild my business stronger. The hidden blessing? I’m learning faster ways to be visible on Google Search Engines.
Google favors sites with more pages, more content, and more value – so I’ve busted my fanny adding FRESH new content to my site, and the payoff is Bigger, Better, Business. I’m loving my results.
