It only takes a spark…
Significant numbers of people are lighting candles this weekend, for the trouble makers, rebel rowsers, and protesters creating havoc across our land. In case you haven’t noticed, we have a new President Elect, and he isn’t the choice of the average liberal goon who wants to declare martial law on our country. So, rioters are planted in the protesters, and they create chaos.
But we don’t have to let it happen.
Jesus turned the other cheek. In his word he speaks of salt and light, in Matthew 5.
Salt and Light
13 “You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.
14 “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.
Matthew 5: 13 – 15
And the world has listened.
When salt has no flavor, we cast it out… as in a used up president who ceases to do his job, his trail ends and he’s replaced with a new president. And we all spend 8 years plus, praying for the new president too. We, those of us who understand the power of prayer and God, pray unceasingly for our government, our representatives, and our neighbors. We understand the POWER of prayer.
And there’s more…
We lean hard after God’s word. We ask him to make us light unto the paths of others, and lead us not into temptation, for our fellow Christian soldiers will follow along.
And we let our light shine. We let our light shine and we don’t put it under a bushel. We set it out on the table to light the way for others.
We let our little light shine… Until He comes.
And that’s what we’re talking about today over coffee. Join in, and let’s all talk about the word of God.
